Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that rain showers will move into Kansas late Friday morning and then chances will for snow will come into the picture later Friday night. Heaviest amounts look to target parts of central and western Kansas.
Low temperatures early Friday will be down in the 20s and low 30s. It will be cloudy and rainy into the afternoon with highs near 40. The wind should be light over most of the area. Rain changes to snow during the night over most of Kansas. Some areas in central Kansas could get 4-7 inches of snow, while in south central Kansas, it will be closer to an inch or two.
It will still be cold in the second half of the weekend but some sunshine is expected to return to the area.
